upcoming update

There isn't much info on the who and the what of this novel, and one of my absolute new favorite series. I haven't yet jumped onto the bandwagon of her Sookie Series, I tried to read it years ago and got bored. This series was completely different and I love every inch of it. I quickly scanned through Charlaine's blogs to see if any other info was handy, but she only ever brought it up to say writing was slow going, and then that she had finally turned it into her editor the second week of February this year. The official publication date is 10/2/07, a lovely little birthday present for me!

Here is a long awaited and eager anticipated sequel to Touch of Evil, by the equally evil C.T. Adams & Cathy Clamp. They have to have THE WORST website known to authors, ever. Do they ever update that shit, I mean really guys amazon has more info than you do. Hire some people damn. Thanks to Tor Forge Books & amazon I have this info to impart, Touch of Madness hits shelves 5/29/07 and the only description given anywhere is this:
She's on trial for murders she didn't commit. She's next on the list of a serial killer. The parasitic vampires known as the Thrall want her to investigate the murder of their young, and will use any means necessary to force her to bow to their demands. And--possibly worst of all--her boyfriend Tom's werewolf pack is trying to break them up so Tom can mate with a werewolf to ensure the survival of his pack. Now Kate must fight for Tom--and fight for her very survival in this brand new paranormal romance from the unbeatable, bestselling team of C. T. Adams and Cathy Clamp. check out all the info here at the Tor website.

The cover is in! Okay it's been in for a little while, but I haven't updated. It'll be exciting and odd to have a new Thursday Next novel in our grasp when it comes out. A story which I thought I had closure on. As a fan I and all the rest I assume always knew there was more to her story, a lot more. Thursday's life and universe is as layered and intricate and topsy turvey as they come. It makes sense that in a world where so many things don't make any sense that the middle of the story would include Thursday's end. Due out 7/19/07 I already have mine pre-ordered. And if you've never visited Fforde Grand Central, you don't know what your missing it's got to be the best author website in the business.
"It’s been fourteen years since Thursday pegged out at the 1988 SuperHoop, and Friday is now a difficult sixteen year old. However, Thursday’s got bigger problems. Sherlock Holmes is killed at the Rheinback Falls and his series is stopped in its tracks. And before this can be corrected, Miss Marple dies suddenly in a car accident, bringing her series to a close as well. When Thursday receives a death threat clearly intended for her written self, she realizes what’s going on—there is a serial killer on the loose in the Bookworld. And that’s not all—The Goliath Corporation is trying to deregulate book travel. Naturally, Thursday must travel to the outer limits of acceptable narrative possibilities to triumph against increasing odds."
